The team behind The Phoenix Gene started with Michael Cawood dreaming up the IP in 2013. Julie Pifher added to the idea over the years until eventually taking over as the primary writer for a series of books in the same world. Together they formed the original game concept that would turn into the VR game. They hired, at peak, 14 team members, averaging around 9 over four to five years to get the game made and shipped to the Meta store, Steam and Viveport. Along the way they picked up a number of strong reviews, way better than any first-time indie game has any likelihood of achieving.
The Wrong Rock was directed by Michael Cawood. It launched on the Artella beta platform and attracted around 100 artists from all over the world to work on it. The film has gone on to win numerous awards on the festival circuit. It was released online in December 2019.
Devils Angels & Dating was created when there were no collaborative platforms to make animated projects, so Michael Cawood developed his own by pulling together numerous resources and recruiting a team of over 100 artists from around the world. In 2012 the film was released online and went on to win several awards and rack up millions of views online.
