Narrative VR Game Experience and Novel
The Phoenix Gene is a Science Fiction Fantasy Novel and Narrative VR Game Experience in development for the Meta (Oculus) Quest 2/3 and Pro. With story by Michael Cawood and Julie Pifher, it is a character-based action game that takes full advantage of 6DOF VR headsets.
Director, Michael Cawood, has credits on major franchises including Starfox, Skylanders, Megaman, Viva Pinata, Call of Duty and Banjo Kazooie in games. Plus Bumblebee, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Fast and Furious, Shazam, Supergirl, The Flash, Doom Patrol, Venom, Lego Movie, Pete's Dragon, Bat Woman, Night at the Museum, Ghostbusters, Black Lightning, Happy Feet, Narnia, Pirates of the Caribbean, Divergent, Titans, Under the Boardwalk and Red vs Blue in Film and TV. He has several award-winning short films including the Oscar Qualified "The Wrong Rock" and "Devils Angels & Dating".
Writer and Producer, Julie Pifher, is an award-winning filmmaker and author. Julie has developed and sold television series and pilots to a variety of networks; Syfy, CW, Starz, Lifetime, Discovery+ and more. She created and produced TLC's hit show My Giant Life which ran for three seasons, and Born Behind Bars for A&E Network. As Vice President of Film & TV for AfterShock Comics, she adapted comic books optioned by Hulu, Legendary, Fox, and Universal. She’s written six books and has multiple award-winning screenplays.
